What to expect



Sitter sessions are designed to celebrate your baby's sweet personality and milestones at this magical in-between stage.

You can expect a calm, baby-led experience. I use natural wooden toys and bubbles to gently encourage play, smiles, and sweet expressions.

Parents and siblings are very welcome to join in for some beautiful family portraits too.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

STEP 1

 

Pop me a message

Fill out my contact form with your due date. I will get back to you within 24 hours with my availability.

Sitter sessions are normally scheduled for when your little one is 6-10 months old and can sit unaided

STEP 2

 

Ready to book your experience?

The non-refundable session fee is required to secure your date. I will then send you a questionnaire and welcome guide with everything you need to prepare for your session.

STEP 3

 

The photoshoot

All you have to do then is turn up!

The session will be held in my cosy studio in Corby, Northamptonshire.

STEP 4

 

Delivering photos

Around 2 weeks after your session, you'll receive your private online viewing gallery, where you can select your favourite images and choose the collection that feels right for you.

Sitter FAQ

What if my baby doesn't co-operate?

That's absolutely okay - babies have their own moods and rhythms, and I fully expect that! My sessions are completely baby-led, with plenty of time for cuddles, breaks, or feeds if needed.

I work gently and patiently, using soft encouragement, wooden toys and bubbles to help your little one feel comfortable and curious. There's no pressure to "perform" - some of the most beautiful images come from the quiet moments.

What is the best age for a sitter session?

The ideal time for a sitter session is when your baby can sit steadily on their own without support - usually around 6-10 months. At this stage they are full of personality, smiles, and curiosity, but not yet on the move, which makes it perfect for capturing those beautifully expressive, playful moments.

Every baby is different, so the timing doesn't have to be exact. As long as your little one can sit confidently and comfortably, we're good to go!
